Name: Stephen Murray
I have been cycling for 5 years. I am a self employed carpenter, sometimes this can be handy for training, but more often than not I end up training at night with lights on my bike.
Usually consists of 12 to 15 hours per week.
I started cycling for adventure racing and just kept going. Too many highs to count, not just the good days results wise, it's the friends I have made and the places I have got to visit by bike. Any day I get to cycle my bike is a high even the ones that I nearly froze to death in Ras Mumhan.
There hasn't been too many lows, maybe the time I was thrown on the ground with someone's t-shirt wrapped around my head in the Suir Valley while I was 6 seconds off the GC lead. I survived that and have some fine scars to remember it.
